The 27th Maharashtra Pakshimitra Sammelan will be held at Nagpur from January 4–5, 2014. The Sammelan has played a key role in bringing all the bird lovers together with the objective of developing interest about the birds in common man and involving communities in bird conservation etc. Keeping this motto in mind, Society for Wildlife Conservation, Education and Research (Wild-CER) has organized the 27th Maharashtra Pakshimitra Sammelan in Nagpur. Nagpur is surrounded by number of wildlife sanctuaries, National parks, Tiger reserves and protected area and is the city where the organization ‘Maharashtra Pakshimitra’ took shape from its infancy.
