On August 12, 2024, EIACP Resource Partner on Avian Ecology at the Bombay Natural History Society held a session on “Monsoon Breeding Birds” at SIES Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial High School in Ghatkopar for students in classes 6 to 9. This event, part of #MissionLiFE, saw participation from 50 students. Programme Officer Mr. Nandkishor Dudhe led an informative and interactive presentation covering general bird knowledge, monsoon breeding species, and cuckoo brood parasitism. Students were engaged throughout the session and earned rewards such as the 'Buceros' newsletter and a Hindi booklet titled “Wildlife in the Thar Desert” for their participation. An Eco-Club will be established with these students. Mrs. Raji Nair (Coordinator) and four teachers also attended the session. Natasha Girkar, Information Officer, helped organize the event.
