Topic: Know Your Birds

1) Is there any entry fee?
The quiz is absolutely free and there is no entry fee of any sort.
2) What age groups is the quiz for?
The quiz is open to only students of classes 7-10.
3) What is the topic for the quiz?
The topic for the quiz is ‘Know Your Birds’. You will be asked questions regarding the birds, their habitats, bird conservation sanctuaries, parks and other related areas. The questions will be based upon the birds of India.
4) What type of questions will be asked?
The quiz will be multiple choice. Each question will have 4 options, out of which there will be only 1 correct answer. There will be some visual questions too.
5) What is the scoring system?
Each question is worth 10 points. For each correct answer, the participant can earn up to 10 points. The number of points earned will also depend on how quickly the participant answers. The fastest 10 participants will receive 10 points each.
6) Who will win prizes? What are the prizes?
The participants scoring 50% and above (based on score) will be eligible to win certificates.
7) How do I participate in the quiz?
You can participate in the quiz in real time from Cisco Webex online platform. You will need to open Cisco Webex on your computer or mobile through your registered name and email ID, and will need to type the answers for each question in the chat-box. The chat-box will open with each new question and close after first five correct answer or 30 seconds. You will need to answer within the stipulated time. The chat-box will reopen with the next question. The Cisco Webex meeting link will be sent through email to the registered participants on 13 and 14 May 2021.
8) What all do I need to participate in the quiz?
You will require a mobile phone or laptop/iPad or any other similar device with an active internet connection. The questions will be asked or will appear on this device and you will have to give your answers using this device. Please ensure you join the Cisco Webex meeting at 4 pm. on 17 May 202, as it might not be possible for you to join the quiz later.

On the occasion of ‘ Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Programme’, BNHS-ENVIS (ENVIS Resource Partner on Avian Ecology, Bombay Natural History Society) and ENVIS Centre for Environmental Studies (CES), Forest & Environment Department, Government of Odisha, are jointly organizing a Quiz competition. This contest is open to students of Classes 7 to 10. The quiz will be hosted on Cisco Webex online platform.
