On the occasion of “WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY-5th JUNE” ENVIS Resource Partner on Avian Ecology, Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and Conservation Education Centre (CEC)- Mumbai, are organizing a Free Online Webinar for amateur birdwatchers.

 

Topic: - Central Asian Flyway (CAF)

 

Wetlands International defines flyways as “The entire range of a migratory population through which it moves on annual basis from the breeding grounds to the nonbreeding areas." The Central Asian Flyway (CAF) covers a large continental area of Eurasia between the Arctic and Indian Oceans and the associated island chains. The birds on their annual migration cross the borders of several countries. India lies at the heart of the CAF. The webinar introduces flyways concept and migratory bird conservation actions with special reference to the CAF.
