World Wildlife Day, 2020

On 19th November 2019 at Geneva, the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) announced the theme of United Nations World Wildlife Day 2020 as: “Sustaining all life on Earth”. BNHS-ENVIS RP in Avian Ecology is celebrating World Wildlife Day on 3rd March 2020 by releasing a poster for the above mentioned theme.

Till date, our blue planet has been the only known celestial body to harbour life on it. All the parameters required for sustaining life on this planet are very delicately balanced. The Earth’s optimum distance from the Sun, a protective blanket of atmosphere and presence of water, all aid in nurturing life on it. Thus, being an intellectually advanced species, it is our duty and necessity to conserve all life forms on our one and only home- the Earth.
