Uttar Pradesh Bird Festival 2015

This is a first of its kind initiative by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Akhilesh Yadav to hold a Bird Fair in Uttar Pradesh. UP Eco Tourism Department will be taking charge of the event. The fair will take place on the grounds of the Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary. The Hon'ble Chief Minister will inaugurate the function on 4th December 2015 at Chambal Safari Lodge. There will be talks by prominent ornithologist from around the globe. Workshops by professional photographers, art shows by renowned artists and a bird ringing station. Early morning and evening would be for bird watching in the nearby forest or doing a boat safari on the Chambal River followed by talks / workshops during the day.

Bird Festival Program Details

4th December 2015 :

Morning at 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM :

  1. Inauguration of programme by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and other programmes.
  2. Bird awareness program for school children of surrounding areas.
Evening at 04:00 PM to 05:30 PM 
  1. Discussion and Workshop on Bird-tourism in state and Bird Protection by International and national Bird experts.
Evening at 07:00PM to 08:00 PM
  1. Cultural Programme.
5th December 2015 :
 
Morning at 06:00 AM to 10:00 AM
  1. Bird watching tour by bird experts in different areas of National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary, Saman Bird Sanctuary, Lion Safari Etawah , Etawah wetlands etc.
Morning at 10:30 AM to 01:00 PM 
  1. Workshop by Birds Experts.
  2. Bird awareness program for school children of surrounding areas.

 

5th December 2015 :
Afternoon at 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM 

  1. Workshop by Birds Experts.
Afternoon at 03:00PM to 06:00 PM 
  1. Bird watching tour by bird experts in different areas of National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary, Saman Bird Sanctuary, Lion Safari Etawah , Etawah wetlands etc.
