3rd SERB School in Avian Biology

The current School is the third in this series and is being held at the Department of Zoology, North- Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya. The faculty of the School will include leading researchers of the country and abroad. The course will comprise the lectures, labs and field training covering key areas of research in Avian Biology.The programme is open to students of life/physical/environmental sciences, currently pursuing M.Sc. (final year) and M.Phil. degree courses as well as those pursuing research in the area covered under Avian Biology, leading to Ph.D. degree. Post-doctoral researchers and faculty members in their early research career may also apply. The number of outstation participants is limited to 20, and the age limit is generally of 32 years. To participate in the School, please apply with full CV (photograph, date of birth, complete postal address with e-mail id and mobile no., educational qualifications with relevant details, training and professional experience in the research field, and a list of research publications (if any)), two recommendation letters and a brief statement of purpose (in 250 words). There is no registration fee. Also, the selected participants will be reimbursed with AC III train fare or actual fare which ever is less on the production of travel document, and they will be provided with free

local hospitality. Applications must reach on or before 31 July 2015
