Popular Birds in Fiction II

Seagull in “Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach: is a story about a seagull learning about life and flight.

Donald Duck in Walt Disney Productions: is a manlike white duck with a yellow-orange bill, legs, and feet wearing a sailor suit with a cap and a black or red bow tie. Donald is known for his semi-intelligible speech and his mischievous and irritable personality.

Daffy Duck in “Looney Tunes” by Warner Bros: many times portrayed with another popular character Bugs Bunny.

Scrooge McDuck and his three grandnephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are ducks in “DuckTales”: Uncle Scrooge is a rich duck and these are tales of these ducks in and around the world.

The Duck in "The Ugly Duckling" by Hans Christian Andersen: This is the story of a bird who is sad because other ducks call it ugly but towards the end it realises what how beautiful he truly is.  

The Swan in the “Swan Princess”: This is a story of a princess who is turned into a swan during the day by an evil sorcerer.  

Margalo in the “Stuart Little”: She is a kind bird and becomes a good friend of Stuart Little.

HedwigPigwidgeon and Errol are owls in the “Harry Potter series by J.K.Rowling”: The owls act like messengers; aiding in communication between wizards. They deliver letters, parcels and howlers.

The Road Runner (a roadrunner bird) in “Looney Tunes” by Warner Bros: It shows a coyote chasing the roadrunner. The roadrunner is quick and always races ahead.

Yankee Doodle Pigeon  a pigeon in “Hanna-Barbera's Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines”:  Dick Dastardly and Muttley try to catch Yankee Doodle Pigeon, a carrier pigeon who carries secret messages 

Dab the dodo in “Ice Age”: A dodo is shown here as a medium sized bird present during the Ice Age.

Dodo in “Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll”: In the book, the dodo suggests that in order to get dry everyone runs a Caucus Race in an attempt to dry themselves.

Lord Shen, an albino peacock in “Kung Fu Panda 2”: He is the main villain in this story. He is the son of the royal peacock family and the heir to the Gongmen city throne.

Roäc and Cärc, two ravens from The Hobbit, by J.R.R.Tolkien: These are raven chiefs of Ravenhill in this interesting story of a hobbit Bilbo Baggins who tries to win a share of the treasure guarded by the dragon, Smaug.

The Mighty Sven a puffin from Happy Feet Two: He stays among the penguins in the movie and is the only one who can fly.

Nigel a Pelican in “Finding Nemo”: He is friends with the Tank gang and meet the clownfish Nemo there.

Flit, a hummingbird in Disney's Pocahontas and Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World: The hummingbird is a close friend of Pocahontas and is often seen accompanying her.

Diablo, a raven, in Disney's Sleeping Beauty: He is seen as the companion of and supporting the villain Maleficent in her evil plans.
